About Us

Opening in December 2019, PedsNow is Southeast Georgia’s first urgent care clinic specifically for kids and young adults. We aim to fill the gap between primary care and the emergency room by providing an affordable and convenient option for immediate pediatric care. Our clinic is open 7 days a week, with extended evening and weekend hours. We offer labs and X-rays on-site, and can quickly treat most minor childhood injuries and illnesses. Get the care your child needs in a compassionate, comforting setting.

Dr. Anthony Ricketts

Dr. Anthony Ricketts

Pediatrician, Co-Founder

Dr. Anthony Ricketts received his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria and completed his pediatric training at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, New York. Prior to starting PedsNow!, Dr. Ricketts worked in numerous capacities in the healthcare field. He was the Medical Director at the Frederiksted Health Center and Hospital Board Chair at The Juan Luis Hospital in St. Croix US Virgin Islands. He is also the owner/founder of the Pediatric Care Center, Virgin Islands Pediatric Specialties and the Promed Clinics. Dr. Ricketts has over 30 years of clinical experience, is a strong advocate for children with special needs, and has served in multiple locations, including Trinidad, Dominica, and the British Virgin Islands.

Dr. Ricketts enjoys continuing his medical education and has a keen interest in medical practice management and information technology.

Dr. Phillip O. Ajayi

Pediatrician, Co-Founder

Dr. Phillip O. Ajayi was born in Lagos Nigeria, West Africa. He attended the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos. He completed residency in Pediatrics at the New York–Presbyterian Hospital. In November 2001, he moved to Liberty County in Georgia with the desire to assist, educate, promote and provide additional support to the area’s pediatric medical care. He began laying his pediatric foundation while working at Liberty Regional Medical Center. Dr. Ajayi committed his Pediatric knowledge, compassion and desire to help meet the community’s needs by opening Phillips Pediatrics in February 2002. He received the 2018 “Senator Glenn Bryant Award” for his unwavering Community Service from the Liberty County Democratic Party, and was also named Liberty County’s “Best Pediatrician” in 2019.

Dr. Ajayi believes in a holistic approach to pediatric medicine and lives by the philosophy, “We care, God heals.”

Dr. Matt Wilson

Dr. Matthew D. Wilson received his undergraduate degree in 1995 from Southern College with a B.A. in Biology. In 2007, he received another undergraduate diploma in Health Sciences from University of Northumbria in England. In 2011, he graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine and received his M.D. He completed his pediatric residency in 2015 at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

Dr. Wilson spent the last four years working as a pediatrician in Gig Harbor, Washington and in Savannah, Georgia. Prior to becoming a pediatrician, he had the privilege of teaching high school for 11 years, part of which he spent as a principal for a K-10 grade school and a chaplain for a secondary boarding school.

He and his wife, Marca, have grown their family through the miracle of adoption and have 3 beautiful daughters from China. As a family they enjoy sports, traveling and mission service.

Dr. Melissa Guerra-Wallace

Dr. Melissa Guerra-Wallace earned her Bachelors of Science from University of California at Los Angeles, and her Doctor of Medicine from Kigezi International School of Medicine. She completed both her residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr Guerra-Wallace is an attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Memorial University Hospital. She is passionate about assisting families and children through difficult times and situations.

Dr. Guerra-Wallace’s favorite physical activity is jogging. She has been married for 16 years and has three children (ages 13, 12, and 5). The family also has a Newfoundland poodle named Max.

Dr. Christopher Sosa

Pediatrician

Dr. Sosa is a newborn/pediatric hospitalist in Liberty and Chatham counties. He also serves as the pediatric medical director at LRMC and is constantly working to improve the hospital care our community’s children receive. He is passionate about working with and educating parents to instill healthy lifestyle changes in children, and help them establish good lifelong habits. Mostly, he enjoys playing with babies and preparing parents to take their newborns home.

Dr. Sosa earned a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Florida and then his medical degree, with a minor in Health Disparities, from University of South Florida. He completed his Pediatrics residency at the University of Florida-Jacksonville. While he is a Florida Gator for life, he does own a UGA hoodie.

Dr. Sosa enjoys traveling, exercising, and live music. He is also a self-proclaimed foodie.

Megan Rivera-O’Rourke

Megan Rivera-O’Rourke MSN, FNP is originally from Jacksonville, NC, where she obtained her associate nursing degree at Coastal Carolina Community College. She began her nursing career working on the pediatric floor at Onslow Memorial Hospital. She later moved with her family to Hinesville, GA and obtained her Bachelors in the Science of Nursing at South University, Savannah campus. Megan continued attending South University, and earned her master’s degree through their Family Nurse Practitioner program. While there, she trained under Dr. Hall at Hall Pediatrics.

Megan is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and S.T.A.B.L.E. neonatal education. She has 10 years’ experience in pediatrics, spending her last 5 years in emergency medicine.

Megan has 4 children and spends every moment of her free time cheering them on at various sporting or school events. She enjoys baking and decorating cakes, as well as cruising. Her husband is active duty US ARMY. Megan is very excited to be part of PedsNow, and is proud to be part of a fantastic team of providers.

Angela Dillman

Administrative Assistant

As the Administrative Assistant at PedsNow, Angela helps us keep things running smooth! Before joining the PedsNow team, she worked at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA for 9 years. There, she worked as an Administrative Assistant to the plastic surgery clinic and as an Administrative Secretary to the fertility clinic. Angela earned her Associate Degree in Medical Office Technology at the McCann School of Business and Technology. She is excited to bring her skills to PedsNow, and hopes to help the clinic grow!

Angela and her family recently relocated to Jesup, GA. She has an 11 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. They have a cat and a dog, and love doing outdoor activities as a family. On down time, Angela enjoys scrapbooking, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

Desiree Bynes

Radiology Technician

Desiree Bynes earned her Associate Degree in Radiology at Northwest Florida State College. She has valuable experience doing X-rays in the hospital, as well as in the urgent care setting. Through her experience working in urgent care, Desiree has also learned to perform medical assisting duties, such as collecting patient vitals, blood draw and any other tasks that may be needed. In her free time, Desiree enjoys spending time with family and friends. We are happy to have her on staff!

Trinity Morris is a Sophomore at Georgia Southern University going for her BSN, Registered Nurse. Upon graduation, she hopes to work in the Emergency Department or Pediatrics and PedsNow is a great place to gain experience. Trinity has experience working and volunteering in nursing homes and assisted nursing facilities. She loves helping others in need, especially through healthcare. As a child, she was always in the hospital dealing with health problems, which grew her love for the medical field.

When not working or at school, Trinity gets exercise through boxing and enjoys shopping, and hanging out with friends and family. She has 2 dogs, a Shih Tzu/Pug mix and a pure bred Shih Tzu. She has a younger brother, who is about to graduate high school, and an older sister, who serves in the US Airforce.

Rhiannon Padgett

Rhiannon Padgett is a Medical Assistant who absolutely loves kids. She previously worked at Jeff Davis Hospital, and is in the process of obtaining her Bachelors in Nursing (BSN). Rhiannon spent much of her childhood in and out of the hospital, and remembers the nurses that made an impact of her life. She hopes to pay it forward, and be a positive force in the lives of her young patients as well.

When she’s not working, Rhiannon loves traveling, small adventures, and making memories with my friends and family.

Joshua Sutphen

Joshua Sutphen

Receptionist

Joshua Sutphen received his Medical Assistant Certification at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, WI. He also earned a Coding Certificate while in training for the Army in Fort Sam Houston, TX. Joshua has worked in many different fields and found healthcare to be the most mentally and spiritually rewarding. He previously worked as a certified medical assistant at a Neuroscience Group in Neenah, WI for 2 and a half years.

Currently, Joshua is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics at Georgia Southern University – Armstrong. He also works as a Patient Administration Specialist with the Army Reserves through a Certified Professional Coder apprenticeship.

Joshua is an avid hockey fan. He has played the game since he was 5, and still plays whenever the chance presents itself. He recently built his own PC and enjoys playing computer games on it. Joshua also like to spend time with his father here in Georgia.

Victoria Dabson earned her BA in Healthcare Administration, and has more than 5 years in healthcare. She enjoys helping others, and at PedsNow, she loves getting the opportunity to see our little ones leave feeling better.

When she’s not working, Victoria enjoys spending time with family.

Amanda Haines

Billing Specialist

As our Billing Specialist, Amanda handles one of the most important aspects of the office — without a strong Billing Department, we would not be able to take care of the precious little ones that claim our office as their medical home, and that we love so much.

Before joining PedsNow, she attended Savannah Technical College, and worked at Phillip’s Pediatrics for 11 years. Amanda worked in every part of the office, gaining valuable knowledge and experience on how to operate a medical office. She ultimately deciding to pursue Billing, and we are thrilled to have her on our team!

Amanda is a military spouse of 19 years, with 5 amazing children (including 2 sets of twins). The family has 2 English Mastiffs and 5 Ferrets that complete the home. In her free time, Amanda enjoys bowling, cooking, and reading. She LOVES puzzles.
